SecureHome, Inc. is committed to protecting your privacy. This document (“Privacy Policy”) describes our policies and practices regarding the information that we collect, use, share, and store including your Personal Information (i.e., information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address, or billing information, or other data that can be reasonably used to infer this information). This Privacy Policy focuses on information obtained via www.securehome.io and any sub-pages (“Site”), SecureHome Cloud (“Cloud”), the SecureHome Mobile App (“App”) and the Network sensor (“SecureHome Device”), collectively our “Services.” Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we handle your information.

 

Your Consent

By using our Services, you signify your consent to the policies and procedures described in this Privacy Policy. If, however, you do not agree with our policies and practices please do not use our Services. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see “Changes to This Privacy Policy”). Your continued use of our Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates.

 

Information We Collect

SecureHome collects information about you through our Services in several ways including, for example, when you make a purchase, register an account, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, or use certain other features of our Services. You can review and change your Personal Information at any time by logging into the Site and visiting your account profile page.

 

Information You Submit or Provide to Us

We collect the information that you directly provide to us, such as when you enter it on the Site or App, submit an online form or include it in an email that you send us in relation to our Services. For example, when purchasing our Services, we request that you provide your name, billing and shipping address, credit card information and any other information necessary to complete the transaction. While using our Service we may require you to provide us with certain other Personal Information, including but not limited to your email address, Media Access Control (“MAC”) address, and Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

 

Technical Information Collection

We may also collect certain technical information about your computer systems or about your visits to our Site or App without you actively submitting such information. Some of the technical information collected automatically when you use our Services include:

  • Log Data: When you use our Services, our servers automatically record information (“Log Data”), including information that your browser or mobile device sends when you visit or use our Services. This log data may include your IP address, device name, operating system version, the date and time of your use of our Service, the configuration of the App when utilizing our Service, and other statistics.
  • Cookies: Cookies are files with small amounts of data that are commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory. SecureHome does not use these “cookies” directly. However, the App may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and to improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this product.

 

 

Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Site or App are served by third-parties, including advertisers and content-providers. These third-parties may use cookies to collect information about you when you use the Site or App. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. We do not control these third-parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

Similarly, the Site and App may contain links to other websites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • to personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested;

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personal Information unless we provide users with advance notice. However, we may disclose Personal Information without notice to our website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release Personal Information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. We may share information other than Personal Information with other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

 

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technological methods of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a security breach, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and, where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised and take other steps, in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Your Personal Information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Use by Minors

Our services are not intended for use by minors under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

 

California Online Privacy Protection Act

California Civil Code section 1798.83 permits SecureHome users who are California residents to request certain information regarding the disclosure, within the immediately preceding calendar year, of that California resident’s personal information to third parties by SecureHome for such third-parties’ their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, use the information provided in the “How to Contact Us” section at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. Any such inquiry must include “California Privacy Rights Request” in the first line of the description.

 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and sending you an email in case of material changes. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
